Dr. Kristen Abraham is an Associate Professor of Psychology and a licensed clinical psychologist. Abraham earned her Ph.D. from Bowling Green State University and completed three years of postdoctoral fellowship research and clinical training in the Veterans Health Administration. She joined the university in 2013. Dr. Abraham’s research focuses on health, health care, employment and family relationships for people with serious mental illness. She has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health. As part of ReBUILDetroit, Abraham is the Social Sciences Liaison and a member of the Research Enrichment Core. She also serves ReBUILDetroit Scholars as a faculty mentor and previously taught first-year research courses on health disparities.
