ReBUILDetroit is pleased to announce the second round of NIH Pilot Project Funding for faculty members at consortium institutions and is seeking Request for Applications.
The goals of the Pilot Projects are to stimulate grants for participating faculty and students, to provide opportunities for faculty and students to gain experience in writing an NIH application, to go through a rigorous proposal review process, to gain experience designing a fundable research question and to allow faculty to gather preliminary data for future research funding.
Any biomedical research that could potentially be funded by the NIH is relevant for this mechanism, basic science; translational medicine; clinical medicine; social science research; population health and other related fields are of interest.
Key dates:
- Letter of Intent is due on December 1, 2017
- Proposal drafts (including SF424 forms and internal paperwork) due to OSPRA at Detroit Mercy on January 8, 2018
- Final proposals are due on January 12, 2018.
