ReBUILDetroit scholars from Marygrove College, University of Detroit Mercy and Wayne State University presented their freshman research experience at a poster presentation at Wayne State University today.
More than 30 posters representing research in biology, chemistry and health disparities were on display in Shapero Hall.
Scholars from across the consortium shared their research with each other and faculty from the three institutions.
The poster presentation was part of a weeklong orientation launching the summer research experience for the first cohort of ReBUILDetroit scholars.
The training also includes the topics: Responsible Conduct of Research, Who’s Who, Lab Safety Training, Mentee Training and effective literature searches.
The weeklong program concludes Thursday evening with a Lab Coat ceremony.
Scholars will be presented their lab coats signifying the beginning of their research experience.
