Co-Principal Investigator releases novel

Co-Principal Investigator from Wayne State University, Dr. Ambika Mathur, is celebrating the release of her novel, “Transplant” this week.

Transplanted from India to achieve her life-long dream of training to become a research scientist at the prestigious Mount Carmel University in Michigan, Sheila was on top of the world!  Added to that she had found the love of her life.  Sheila’s perfect world is rocked when her new best friend Leslie Wallis commits suicide after she finds that her husband had fathered a child with another woman. But Sheila couldn’t believe that of her strong friend.  Could Leslie’s death have anything to do with the world famous Mount Carmel Organ Transplant Center at which she sometimes volunteered? Instead of a quiet academic life and a safe future in the arms of the man she has come to love, Sheila finds herself thrust into a world of scientific intrigue, avarice and a medical mystery with frightening implications.”

Dr. Mathur is also the author of a children’s series, Miss Panda.
