Summer Research Experience begins

The 7-week Summer Research Experience is officially underway as scholars and mentors take part in a weeklong orientation sessions.

This morning, Dr. Timothy Stemmler, Assistant Dean for Postdoctoral Affairs, addressed both scholars and mentors stressing communication is vitally important in the research process.

Stemmler’s presentation is entitled, “Resource Sharing, Collaboration and Intellectual Property.”

Orientation sessions are scheduled throughout the week.

A research poster session will be held on Tuesday in the lobby of Shapero Hall featuring scholars’ research from this past semester.

On Thursday evening, scholars will receive their lab coats in a ceremony beginning at 6 pm on the University of Detroit Mercy campus.
